School demolition in Waltham, MA

Waltham has begun a massive school renovation program. Pictured here are Central Junior High School, being stripped for major reconstruction, and the nearby Vocational High School, which has been demolished. The schools shared a lot bordered by School and Church Streets. The city's school program includes a brand new school on South Street, scheduled to open early in 2003.
